It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the Gulf Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Fourth Clinical Congress and the Gulf Chapter Annual Meeting to be held at Intercontinental, Festival City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates during the period 3-5 November, 2016.
Building on your contribution to the success of the first, second and third editions of the Clinical Congress and the Gulf Chapter Annual Meetings, we are delighted to welcome you in the bustling metropolitan City of Dubai. The 2016 edition has taken a graceful step towards the international arena in order to deliver a higher calibre meeting. The scientific committee has compiled a rich and versatile program with plenty of educational opportunities in the growing and exciting field of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
The Gulf Chapter of AACE is a professional community of physicians in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, committed to fostering advanced educational and research programs to enable its members to provide the highest quality of patient care.
The Gulf Chapters of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists will also this year offer endocrinologists, fellows and internists the opportunity to update and review endocrine related subjects.
Also this year the chapters has assembled an internationally renowned faculty who would share their extensive knowledge and experience with the attendees over the 2-day course time.
The course is prepared in a mock-exam format with case-based board-style questions and discussions covering different aspects of clinical endocrinology and metabolism. Each section follows the blueprint for the board exam with the correct and incorrect answer options reviewed in detail.
The Gulf Chapters of the American Association for Clinical Endocrinologists have in collaboration with the International Society for Clinical Densitometry assembled an advanced 2-days course which serve to educate healthcare providers about bone densitometry and osteoporosis and to apply standard practices to assure quality performance and interpretation of bone densitometry studies. The first day sets the standard to perform Quality DXA interpretation while day 2 focuses on the clinical assessment, prevention, treatment and management of osteoporosis and the essential role that high-quality DXA plays in treatment initiation decisions and monitoring of osteoporotic patients. Upon completion of the course delegates are exam and certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
